In Slovakia, as in many countries throughout the world, Mother’s Day is probably one of the most favorite “special days” we observe each year. We celebrate Mother’s Day at 9th of May.
Whether we are children or adults we all desire our mom’s hugs, her nice words, and her love! Little children need their mums the most. Because little children especially enjoy demonstrating love to their moms, the young students at our school recently prepared a short program for their mothers and grandmothers. The children gave their presentation in the auditorium of Center for Christian Education in Martin. The auditorium was full of parents, grandparents, and siblings who eagerly awaited their children´s performance.
These young ones accepted their role very responsibly! Their little play and songs were flawless! The children needed no prompting; they knew every word, every sentence, and every song by heart! Children laughed, mothers cried (I´m sure you can understand why!), and fathers were so proud on their children.
9th of May was day dedicated to mothers. We wish all children everywhere have moms!
