Students in Europe are exposed to history in various ways: They talking with family and friends, by watching TV and movies, by listening to music, by playing games, by following public debates. All these factors influence the way students look at history. Without critical attitudes and understanding of how history is being made, students simply echo these ideas. The fact that more and more of this expose to young Europeans – being digital natives – is happening through means, is not reflected in the way history is generally being taught. Continue reading →

PROGRESS REPORT
Dear Friends and Partners,
If a psalmist were among us in May and looked back over the spring dominated by Covid pandemic restrictions, he would exhort: Give thanks to God’s holy name, for His anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime (Psalm 30:4-5). Looking back, we must confess with the Psalmist that God’s favor surely dominates in our lives. This perspective gives us strength to face all the present and future trials, knowing that His favor shall overcome. PROGRESS REPORT
Dear Friends and Partners,
We are back! After another month of our school closed and our staying home, April brought a lot of hope. Slovakia seems to be turning the corner on the Covid virus. The numbers of hospitalized, infected, and deceased continue to decline while figures of those vaccinated are swiftly increasing. The measures now allow for more students to return to school. If all goes well, all the grades will enjoy in-person learning, and we will run our operation its full magnitude soon again. This means that our summer activities (VBS, J-camp, English courses, and other camps) are much closer to reality and we are getting ready for them. Thank God for mission possible again!
