Slovakian teachers visit ND, observe classes

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) – Teachers from an elementary school in Slovakia are getting a taste of life in the Midwest.

For the past 10 years, First Lutheran in Fargo has sent mission teams to Slovakia to teach Vacation Bible School and english at the Lutheran Church School there.

For the next several days, the two teachers are visiting area schools, like Oak Grove today, as well as attending sporting events and visiting with Lutheran Churches that have a relationship with the Slovakian school.

Marianna Malm- First Lutheran: “At First Lutheran, we serve others so whether it is helping the hungry and the homeless or expanding our mission 3,000 milles away.”

The Slovakian visitors also caught their first college football game. The Cobbers beat Hamline.
